Malaysian Stupidities in Combating Covid19

"KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 — After breaking the 200-mark of Covid-19 fatalities for two days in a row, Malaysia recorded a drop in deaths at 143 individuals in the last 24 hours."

This means that the vaccination has a lot of impact, even the first dose. If this continue, our hospital congestion will be solved. These hospitals are congested because of stupidities, not because of our real situations.

Those who are vaccinated, need not be kept at quarantine centres. They can stay at home.

At the moment KKM does not even bother with vaccination status in evaluating patients. A good sign is the inclusion of vaccination status in statistics which clearly indicated that vaccinated patients were kept in hospitals.

What is worrying and reckless is to let unvaccinated patients to stay at home, as shown by the large number of deaths on arrival.

What I observe are the ridiculous policies of KKM. Are the doctors in KKM so stupid? I am not even a doctor and I do not even have advance and detailed knowledge of cases.

Testing is done only for contact tracing and those with symptoms, despite knowing that most positive cases were without any symptoms.

Understood that we do not have many testings, and need more vaccinations. In fact vaccinations are so important that all manpower should be diverted to vaccination, no testing required or done. Since all available staff are at vaccination centres doing vaccination, why not do the testings at the vaccination centres? The staff also take temperatures that are just a waste of time, that is better spent on rapid tests or even lateral flow tests.

Instead, a lot of staff is diverted to EMCO areas to test those inside the locked areas. Admittedly, there is a better chance of getting a positive test in EMCO so the tests are really utilised. But these tests are not used to prevent further cases. Since they are locked up, the chance of spreading is low. About saving lives, those with no symptoms will not need any hospitalisation, only those with symptoms within the EMCO areas need to be tested with PCR for admission to hospitals but their vaccination status should be noted also. Those with 2 doses should be allowed to stay at home.

Unfortunately, those that are not locked up are allowed to work in supermarkets, factories, offices.These are places that will spread the most cases which will spread to the communities. Communities have very little chance of spreading because they are related to each other and are not exposed to each other for long periods unlike work places.

That is why it is surprising that these work places reported less cases. As it turned out, these work places were hiding their cases. As it is impossible to hide cases there must be corruption involved to the point that these work premises were confident in not being penalised.

Those that were caught were those unfortunate enough to have reporters, or stingy not to pay bribes in whatever forms.

Now it comes back to stupidities again. Why not continue contact tracing in communities to places of work? Surely some of those in the community need to work, and surely spend a lot of time infecting their co-workers.

Also, many factories were found violating SOP and fines were announced but not a single test being done let alone be required. Checking vaccination is even further from the minds of KKM.

All these stupidities point out to corruption, or at least dayus. Many doctors see these stupidities but chose to be silent, but this is still a form of dishonesty. That is why humans are naturally intelligent, but it is dishonesty that make them stupid.
